Fun in the sun!

My parents came to see us for several days. It has been so much fun having them. It was their 46th anniversary while they were down here. So, we decided to hop in the van and take the 4 hour drive to Acapulco.

Our drive started out with a terrible navigator.... me. So after realizing we were on the wrong road (after a good 45 minutes), we decided to swing back the way we came and go the right way.

The nice lady that speaks on the GPS.... is an idiot. My least favorite phrase in the whole world is "slight right/left" because what that translates to is... "Hey stupid driver, I just told you to veer off and you thought you were smarter than me and now you are lost, let's figure out where the heck you are and get you to where you are going". With that being said, after the 45 of me being a bad navigator and realizing I need to keep quiet... the dumb GPS lady got us lost as well... 2 hours later we were out of Mexico City and beach bound.

We stayed at a beautiful hotel called Fairmont Princess. It was AWESOME! We happened to stay the same weekend that there was a huge bankers convention going on. It was our little family, my parents and hundreds of business bankers. It was great! While we were there, on day two, we noticed heightened security, like big time. The president of Mexico came to the hotel. That was fun to watch.

We had a blast playing in the pools, eating yummy food, playing in the sand, boogie-boarding. It was such a great weekend, other than when the cheeky-leeky crab pinched Lauryn's finger. Poor girl.

We learned that you can't find Aloe Vera in Mexico. We learned that the sunscreen from last Summer really does lose it's ability to keep the sun away. We learned that after kids have been out of a crib for awhile, a crib becomes a new and fun adventure. We learned that we LOVE LOVE LOVE Acapulco, and we are totally going back at least 3 more times while we are down here.

Here are some pics of our trip.
